Journal #17: Look back over your relationship with The Simpsons . How has your view of the show changed after the class? Nostalgia. The feeling kept creeping up each time I revisited an episode. The feeling was bittersweet. On one hand, I missed out on countless of episodes, possibly too much to find the time to re-watch during my stay here at UCD. On the other hand, each episode I got to watch made me happy, it put a smile on my face and left it there until the episode was over. Comparing now to when I was once a child, I would say that I can understand more than fifty percent of the material since then. It made viewing The Simpsons more than watching cartoon, the show was trying to prove something. Each episode had a purpose and lessens to be learned. Only by watching the episodes now, was I able to find these hidden messages. Each time I write a journal entry, I search for a picture that I could add to liven up the writing as well as portray an episode or character. I have come across a
