2 (1) Whether the customer has a legitimate complaint. Any time a customer is unhappy with the type of service they have received in from any sales person is a legitimate complaint. When serving customer’s it’s extremely important to make sure you do everything to make them have a nice and pleasant shopping experiences. Having a sales associate feel as if they are being patronized or treated as a child is border line degrading and needs to be properly addressed. Further more if a customer is telling you that you are doing something that is making them uncomfortable you make the necessary changes to make them feel comfortable while they are shopping, deciding if are going to give you business or not. (2) What Mr. Mac Gibson’s response should be to the customer? The first thing Mr. Mac Gibson should do is apologizing to the customer on behalf of his company, make sure that the customers knows that you understand how the sales associate
