I am writing to inform you about my desire to pursue a career with Black & Decker. Black & Decker offers the best entry level positions because of its (a) focus on the employee (b) global influence and (c) benefits. Focus on the Employee . Entry level employees are immediately placed into the Sales & Marketing Development Program. This program is designed specifically to give new employees a wide variety of opportunities to work with different departments. These experiences provide the employees with more knowledge and skills than their competition. The employee is then a more qualified candidate for outside jobs and internal promotion. Global Influence . Black & Decker is the world’s leading marketer and manufacturer in the home improvement industry. Their products and services are marketed in more than 100 countries, and they have manufacturing operations in fourteen countries. Their relationship with Lowes and Home Depot also

Black & Decker expects great performance from its employees, but compensates them very well. Along with the Development Program, Black & Decker offers its employees a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The average salary for a Financial Analyst is just under $72 thousand. This salary has potential for growth as an employee moves up through the firm. The man I spoke with at the Career Fair was given a company truck and gas card, as a bonus, when he signed on with Black & Decker. I am excited that Black & Decker has continued to recruit out of Brigham Young University. The recruiting team is returning to campus in January to begin its process of looking for interns. I know everyone would benefit from such an experience with this profitable corporation....
