Lashundra Jones October 25, 2010 SC300 Unit 2 Assignment Ms. Jefferson, Director of the Community Health Department: After extensive review of all the evidence it in fact that the unusual spike in absences is not  affect all schools, nor is it affecting every class. The only class that it appears to be affecting is  band class and only at Truman and Jackson Middle School. It appears that both schools  experienced a high level of absences the day after these schools had a battle of the band with  each other. The common reason that was stated for these students being absent was for an  illness; with common symptoms such as stomach aches, headaches, fever, diarrhea and  vomiting. This illness does not appear to have affected any of the other students just those that  participated in this event.
