Primary Data Collection Method Primary Data Collection Method On my job there are many things that we collect data for. We collect data to determine the number of teachers to hire. We collect data to determine the number of books to send to a school or the number of students to have in each classroom. We also use certain data to determine what in our curriculum is working and what is not working. This data helps us come up with different solution to the age old problem “how do we improve the educational experience for all students”? In my office we provide different types of data to the schools as well as the superintendent. Three of the main questions that we ask ourselves when researching and preparing data is: Who will these test results help? How can schools benefit from knowing their test results? And what can we do to make the data more readily available? There are several primary data collection methods that can be used to collect data.
