Jones Kaplan University HR400-01 Professor Hill September 30, 2010 After reflecting on my course work I find that knowing the difference between proactive recruitment and reactive recruitment has made me a stronger candidate. When I first started this class I felt that there was not a whole lot for me to learn especially since I had been in retail management for so long. But after completing the course I can now see the different styles of recruitment that my company uses. I also plan to use these different styles when I open up my own business. I plan to be more aggressive in looking for qualified candidates to fill leadership positions in my organization. This would be using the proactive recruitment style. To hire lower level staff I would use the reactive style and just let applicants come to me and fill out applications. I am also a stronger candidate because I am able to establish a good recruitment plan; knowing that you have to factor in a budget, as well as determining the future plans for the...
