Distant Education Distant Education Technology is a wonderful creation! It has open up doors to save lives by the advance improvements in the medical field, helped find new ways to feed millions and increased the response time of emergency vehicles tremendously. Technology has also had a great deal of influence on education. Within the education field technology has advanced the way class is taught, where it is taught, and how it is taught. Technology is brining the classroom to the students through a program called distant learning. Distant learning is a non-traditional way of obtaining credits for college or a trade without sitting in the actual classroom. Distant learning to an extent provides new opportunities for those groups such as low income families, single parents or individuals who want to continue their education but face barriers such as family or employment (Ballantine and Roberts, 2009.) Programs such as WebCT and Blackboard, has made the distribution of education around the world more feasible (Ballantine and Robert, 2009). Thousands can obtain a
