In the Plush Pet Daycare, case Danny Jones, the operation manager, was in charge of all the hiring and firing processes. In addition, it was Mr. Jones responsibility to oversee all the operations of each location. He was to make sure each location had four full-time employees and one part-time employee. However, Mr. Jones had misinformed the location managers and told them to employ only three full-time employees and one part-time employee. Mr. Jones’ job was to accept applications, interview potential employees, gather their personal information, and submit it to the Human Resource manager. If this process were done correctly, then the HR manager would verify all the personal information of the applicant, such as social security number and address. Develop a fraud theory based on the original facts and assumptions of the case. The fraud theory in this case is that Mr. Jones was claiming that there were four full-time employees and one part-time employee on the payroll, which in fact there were only three full- time employees and one part-time employee at each location.
