Orgasmic Phase Seminal fluid collects in the urethral bulb at penis base from the seminal vesicles, vas deferens, and ejaculatory duct contractions. The bulb expands, the internal sphincter contracts to prevent urine from mixing with semen. External sphincter relaxes allowing the semen to pass. About 3-15 contractions of the pelvic muscles happen at .8-second intervals. 3-5 weaker contractions follow. Uterus and anal sphincter contract in rhythm. Uterine contractions come in waves from the top of the cervix. Resolution Phase Half of the erection is lost when blood returns to other parts of the body. Testes and scrotum return to normal size.
