Matthew Psyllos Scott Dirkse Music 15 Due 11/25/10 Concert Report 2 For my second concert report in Music 15 I chose to attend the UCSB Wind Ensemble’s Annual Fall Concert directed by Paul Bambach. It was held in the Lotte-Lehmann Concert Hall at 8 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, November 18 th 2010 and ran for roughly two hours. Mr. Bambach was very well informed and did his best job at providing the audience with background information about every song before he began them. One piece I enjoyed was called “Prelude and Fugue” by Vaclav Nelhybel and another was “Courtly Airs and Dances” by Ron Nelson. Both pieces were unique and Bambach was very enthusiastic in explaining the heritage and composition behind each. This concert was much different than any others I have been to, with the exception of the piano performance that I saw for the first concert report. It was set inside a fairly small and dark formal music hall on campus and the audience was probably around 40 people in size. This is
