1. What are some ethical challenges associated with having employee candidates compete for a job in the Trump organization? This question requires that students apply concepts from Chapter 2 regarding ethical issues to the area of human resources management. Most students will cite issues related to business relationships and conflict of interest as ethical challenges associated with having employee candidates compete for a job. There is always a risk that candidates may use unfair tactics in an effort to win such a valuable job. 2. Do you feel that tasks such as competing against others in selling lemonade, competitive buying, and organizing celebrity events allow Donald Trump to make an effective hiring decision? Students’ responses will vary, but they should be able to defend their answers. 3. What could be done to improve the “realism” of the process so that applicants could better understand what it will be like to work in the Trump Organization?
