Chapter 1 Think about registries that you are aware of (inside or outside of healthcare). Examples include: Gift Registries, Wedding Registries, Vehicle Registries. What other common registries can you think of? (You can perform research to guide you through this activity). Compile a list of common or well-known registries you can think of. Include the registry name, type, purpose, and type of information collected. In your submission, do not include gift registries, wedding registries, or vehicle registries at listed as examples above. Submit your findings here. Some common registries that I can think of include patient registry, sales registry, and business registry. A patient registry is a system that collects data to recognize outcomes for a group or population and it is defined by a particular disease, condition, or exposure and that serves predetermined scientific, clinical, or policy purpose. I thought about a sales registry next, sales would be a system that collects data in numbers to keep track of what is sold for how much. This would be a population defined by clothing, products, food, ect. that is sold to keep track of a money budget. A business registry is a system that collects data in order to keep track of business that are functioning. A business that functional is registered by the state in order to keep track of spending and money flow in and out of the business.. Chapter 2 Review Case Example #1 at the end of the Chapter 2 and answer the following questions. 1. What type of Registry was created? 2. Who was the target audience? 3. If so, who were the stakeholders? 7. What was the registry outcome? 8. In your own opinion, what major elements went into planning the registry? Should any additional steps be added to the planning process?

This was a patient registry, The target audience is the administration board of the hospital. The types of data that were collected was uniform data. The purpose of this registry was to gather evidence about the fibrinolytic therapy for AMI patients. The financial sponsorship is Genetech INC. There were no government committees included. The registry outcome was to provide an infrastructure to better the research for fibrinoytic technology for the AMI patients. In my opinion, I noticed that the overlook of the planning is very important to the planning process. The person creating the registry should have a clear view about the problem, how the problem is going to be resolved and then the results for the registry. Chapter 3 Review Case Example #4 at the end of the chapter and answer the following questions. 1. What was the challenge?
