Falk, CPA Office: RBA 501 Email: cfalk@cob.fsu.edu Section: MW 3:35 to 4:50 in RBA 102 Office Hours: Tuesday 10:00 to 12:00 And by appointment Required Materials Auditing and Assurance Services – 4th Edition by Louwers, Ramsay, Sinason & Strawser Auditing Cases – An Interactive Learning Approach – 4th Edition by Beasley, Buckless, Course Objectives The objective of this course is to ground the student in the subject matter of auditing. The course will be objectives driven, with emphasis on conceptual development of the subject matter, the nature of the profession and the technology of auditing. Regardless of whether or not you every practice professionally in an audit function, the knowledge gained in this course is a key component of your training as an accounting professional. Moreover, this course will provide significant background for those who will prepare and sit for the CPA exam. Writing Instrument The ONLY acceptable writing instrument to be used in this class is MECHANICAL PENCIL. The one exception is for official written assignments as homework, which should be prepared using a combination of excel spreadsheets and word processing
