The United States stemmed from the term Eurocentric, which states that Europeans think that the European way is the right way. Americans have coined the term, Amerocentric, meaning that Americans believe their way is the only way and everyone else should agree. This ignorance throughout history has made for some very serious conflicts. History in general, causes one to categorize and make labels on people based on their race or religion. One common category in question is the difference between African Americans and Africans. History is about groups of people and their differences. One important part of history that most cultures are still trying to master is integration. The United States is integrated by law, but even one hundred years later, people are still having problems emotionally integrating. People still walk down the street and judge people by their skin color or by the way they look. The main reason that people dont integrate as easily has to do with fear.
