William Bordelon “ Me and My Giant” by Shel Silverstein CMST 1061-13 I chose this poem because it has been a favorite of mine since I was a little kid. My dad used to read it me, strictly through memory, to and from our hunting trips or whatever we were doing together. It really meant something to me when I was young and when I stumbled along this poem again, I knew it was something that I could talk about because it reflected the great times of my childhood. The poem made me feel like I was back in my father’s single cab truck heading out for the weekend. It kind of made me sad that we do not do as much anymore, but inspired me to go out of my way to spend more time with him. When I was going through the poem there were three main points that I was able to draw from it. The first main point was obviously a son and a father. It seemed to be the obvious choice for me but I felt that it was going to very hard to explain and may just be too vague. I felt like it meant a whole lot to me but the rest
