Flynn Lindsey Flynn Professor Melfi Engl 1101 19 October 2010 Encountering Death Death is never easy to cope with. Imagine being a twelve-year-old child having your first encounter with death. It is something that will scar someone for the rest of his or her life, especially in my situation. My family owns another house with seven acres up north in Jackson County, Georgia. My family calls our other house Timber Creek, it’s a name my father came up with and it stuck. My dog, Storm, lives there because she enjoys all the land where she can roam around. Well, one day Storm got pregnant and had five puppies, Peanut, Rover, Shadow, Skynyrd, and we actually never got a chance to name the fifth puppy. I absolutely loved the puppies; they were the cutest things ever. I could not wait until it was the weekend so I could go up to Timber Creek and see Storm and play with the puppies. One weekend when my family and I went up to Timber Creek, it probably ended up being the most traumatizing day of my life so far. Once we pulled into the driveway, I
