Paul Revere and Richard Dawes (Dawes took the ride to alarm The British are Coming .) o April, 1775- Lexington/Concord: Fired on British regulars. “ Minute Men ” Local farmers could be ready in minute. 2 nd Continental Congress formed in 1775. o General Washington forms Continental Army from colonial militia volunteers. o
