Mihir Thakkar 1 st period Technology in the Classical Period was increasing immensely as the people of these civilizations were in great need of advances. The Han and Roman civilizations both had different ways of utilizing these advances. As the slave population in Rome had increased, the free men didn’t care about the slave work and the agriculture, so they focused on mathematics and scientific advances. The Han dynasty had a small feudalist system in their government. This caused people to focus on the production and increased advances for agriculture. The Han dynasty focused mainly on tools for agriculture and farming, while the Romans used the advances for mathematics and scientific advances. The Han dynasty’s agricultural advances can be found in document 2. Document 2 clearly says that tools were mainly used for agriculture. Document 4 also has stated that one advance was a water powered blowing engine could be used to increase production and make less labor being used in the process. Document 4 can have a
