Research process 2 Research Process Paper Real Estate prices in the United States are continuing to fall, which means that this is a buyer’s market. Families are searching for the best deals and with gas prices rising, are possibly looking for a home closer to their workplace. Team A will use the data provided in the Real Estate Data Sheet to identify the best price on a home closest to the city. This will help to determine if the home is a better value. This paper will discuss the problem and its importance, identify a few questions and hypothesis, and discuss steps to complete this study. Purpose of Research This research will help to find not necessarily the lowest price home, but the best value on a home. This will include price per square footage, number of bedrooms, and distance to the city. This will be a hypotheses study. A hypotheses study is a study that engages in hypotheses testing, usually explaining the nature of certain relationships, or establishing the differences among groups or the independence of two or more factors in a situation (Sekaran, 2003). Buying a home is commonly understood as the most important decision a family will make. By using the research process, different variables that may affect the outcome will be measured. Research Problem The research problem will be to find the best home value closest to the city. Team A will use the Real Estate Data sheet to solve the problem of finding the best home value. Answering the problem will help potential home buyers to make an informed decision. Without this information the home buyer may buy a home farther away from the city thinking that it was a good value based solely on price.
