Survey paper 2 Survey Paper A survey is used to get a general opinion on a particular matter of interest. The survey for this research topic includes categorical and quantitative questions. Next, will be a determination as to the appropriateness of the questions for the business problem. This is crucial because this survey will be used to address the problem statement, given later. Following this will be an identification of the level of measurement taken by each question, and an explanation to the ethical implication that must be considered when developing survey questions. In a down economy, all companies are looking for a way, not only to survive, but also to come out on top of their competitors. Winn-Dixie (WD) is looking for the same thing; they want to take back Jacksonville from their competitors. WD was originally founded, established and grew from Jacksonville, FL over 80 years ago (Winn-Dixie, 2010). Since emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy on November 7, 2007, they have been on a mission called the “Take Back Jax” program (WD, 2010). Winn-Dixie will take back the number one spot, for preferred grocery store, in Jacksonville, FL. The survey will be used to get the general opinion from the public on the efforts already taken. This survey addresses the problem statement because it gives much needed insight from the customer to the company. With out have an opinion and data such as this, WD will have a tough time tracking the success of the program.
