Life is a precious gift from God. Even when a person has no material possessions, life is still possessed. The death penalty or it usually called as capital punishment should be totally erased by many reasons. First and foremost no one should have the right to take anyone else’s life neither individually nor as a punishment for someone. As we know in our bible under the Ten Commandments that says “thou shall not kill” is telling us that killing is a part of a sin. Although in this world not every people are Christian or Catholic, but we are live under the name of God. First of all, I would like to discuss the pro side of death penalty that has been seen by lot of citizens in this Country. Some common reason for death penalty is the Bible. To them, the Bible requires death penalty for a wide range of crimes. People believe that killing the convicted may make them feel safe in the future, because if the convicted dies, he or she cannot kill anymore. On the other hand, it is argued that the death penalty should be banned to prevent the execution of innocent individuals convicted of capital murder. Moreover, some people also argued that death is too good for capital offenders. This position favors unlawful disciplinary actions like life imprisonment. Though some think it’s not harsh enough, death penalty delivers justice quickly and effectively. Thus, what about the risk of wrongfully executing an innocent person? One cannot say it’s not possible or that is never happened, nothing is perfect.
