BA in Physics, became a professor. 4. Became superintendent of schools in San Diego. 5. 1898 – Stanford’s first president was David Starr Jordan when Cubberly took a job at Stanford. 6. Cubberly wrote his dissertation in 3 months time. 7. Cubberly believed he should own the power over education; he supported Board of administrators. III.
