Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship Document Checklist for Online Student Visa Applications Higher Education Sector (573) – Assessment Level 4 Applicants must give you originals of all the required documentation. You are also advised to check the country- specific document checklists for any additional documentary requirements. Documents provided in languages other than English must be accompanied by an English translation certified in writing by you to be a true and accurate translation. You must verify the original documents and keep these until a decision on the visa application has been made. You must also keep certified copies of all pages of the original documents. The department may request these documents at any time up to 12 months after a decision has been made. You must scan the following documentation and the checklist(s) and attach them electronically to the online application as soon as it is lodged. The processing centre in Australia cannot process the visa application without these documents. Note: Check the country-specific document checklists for any additional documentary requirements. Tick the key documents you are providing: ± Agent Declaration – Evidentiary Requirements and Financial Details (attached at the end of this checklist) Identity documents for the applicant: ± Passport page(s) showing personal and issue details ± Marriage certificate (if married) ± Digital photo Identity documents for dependants: ± Passport page(s) showing personal and issue details, and birth certificates or Family/Household Registration ± Digital photo Applicants proposing to undertake more than one course: ± Any letters of offer from an Australian education provider for which the applicant has not yet received a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) Applicants under 18 years of age: ± Under 18 Consent Form (to be downloaded and completed) – evidence that every person with a legal right to decide where the applicant lives has consented to their proposed studies in Australia; and ± Applicant’s birth certificate; and ± Parent(s)’s passport or identification card; and ± either a signed statement from the education provider confirming appropriate arrangements have been made for the applicant’s accommodation, support and general welfare in Australia, or the Under 18 Welfare Form completed by the parents or person(s) who have legal custody of the applicant. Applicants with family unit members who want a visa to travel with them to Australia : ± Evidence of the relationship between the applicant and all family unit members ( Example: birth certificate, marriage certificate etc); and ± If any family unit members are 5 – 17 years of age (inclusive) and will live with the applicant in Australia, documentation confirming their enrolment in an Australian school. Applicants must give you original documentation as specified below.
