Assignment 4 It is important for learners to apply what they know and to connect new concepts to their own experiences. This assignment gives you the opportunity to do just this. You have almost certainly heard of Sigmund Freud, father of psychoanalysis. Erik Erikson was a student of Freud. However, there was one very important place where Freud and Erikson disagreed. Freud did not see the value of a life of faith in the quest for emotional health. In contrast, Erikson believed that a life of faith and religion could contribute very powerfully to positive emotional and social development. > In your Module 1 Homework Network: * Think about how a life of faith might affect how an individual would pass through two of the stages described by Erikson. * Write a 2-paragraph (3-5 sentences equals a paragraph) reflection on this concept in your word processor. Check spelling. * Copy the paragraphs. * Return to Blackboard and access your Homework Network. * Scroll down and find the Faith Post Forum. * Select "Add New Thread." * In the subject box, type the name of the two stages on which you are reflecting. * In the text box paste your paragraphs from your word processor. * Wait 12 hours to give everyone time to post, then comment on two of your classmates' posts here in the Faith Forum. o A comment should give your perspective on what your classmate has posted. o The post should be no shorter than 20 words, and no longer than 50.
