Case Study 1 Using Technology for Marketing See Focus on Technology , page 32 in your text. Answer both questions 1 and 2. You should be able to answer these questions in one page per question. 1. The instructions require you to explore web sites. Note that “sites” is plural so you will want to go to more than one site. The number is up to you, but the key here is to go to as many sites as you need in order to find at least one site that allows you to fully satisfy the questions. You can write about the ones you went to that were below par, as well as the one/s that you think do a good job. Please note that you are looking at how the company uses their web site to do research on consumers . This paper is not about how customers can place orders or return items. It is not about customer relationship marketing (CRM) and loyalty programs. It is about research. Clues in the instructions include, “continuous, timely, and innovative information from customers”, “Share Your Thoughts”, “feedback and ideas”. The instructions ask you to “dig deeply”.
