INTERACTIONISM 2 Interactionism What influence does culture have on personality? Do you see a person’s reaction to something as separate from social experience or as a result of social experience? Which one of the four positions of the nature of traits do you agree with most and why? Compare and contrast your position against one of the other four positions of the nature of traits. I believe that personalities are influenced through culture by people in society coming up with how they believe things should or shouldn’t be. When people do this or take this type of action, people tend to follow which make this a normal action for us therefore influencing us and our personalities. I believe this because when we are around a certain belief for so long we tend to believe and follow, although this is just my opinion. I think that our culture and other outside situational factors help control our behaviors. These are traits that people manifest in their everyday life and come from experiences and the way that we handle them. Neurophysiological also seems to be applicable however, this states that behavioral patterns in a person are prerecorded for their life and I think that it is a good point although outside factors do influence our behavior.
