Text:
A an Introduction to Ordinary Differential Equations
by Earl A.
Coddington, Dover Publications, 1989
Syllabus:
We will cover most of the text, plus some additional topics if time allows.
Following is a more detailed description and a comparison with Math 2065.
The course covers the theory of ordinary differential equations, including first order
differential equations, linear differential equations of all orders with constant coefficients,
with variable coefficients, and with singular points. It also covers the theory of systems
of linear differential equations, and if there is time, additional topics will be covered such
as Sturm’s separation theorem and some of the theory of stability.
