In way Romans defeated themselves, just relied on numbers and not tactics Never fought battle of this size Always fighting tribes, and always Roman sophisticated First time fight somebody like Hannibal Hannibal men collected all the gold rings Collected in one basket Delivered in Senate War, poor unto Senate floor Hannibal does not attack Rome, but all defenseless People say that he can win war, but not know how to use victory He didn’t attack Rome because no siege weapons Had strategy in Italy, to get Italian tribes to join with Hannibal
