Acupuncture Today, acupuncture is practiced in dozens of countries on millions of people. The origins of acupuncture remain a mystery, but it is clear that today many people believe acupuncture is an effective treatment for a variety of disorders. Acupuncture treatments can help with AIDS, asthma, arthritis, allergies, colds, drug addiction, depression, headaches, high blood pressure, stress, stroke, and many other health related issues. Many people are very skeptical about the effectiveness in acupuncture. Its effectiveness is based on experience and scientific experiments. Millions of people have experienced the beneficial effects of acupuncture in such things as the relief of pain, increasing fertility, arthritis, and relieving nausea after chemotherapy. There are many different kinds of acupuncture, which involve different kinds of needles, techniques, and insertion points.
