But rather I have had literary sponsors force certain literacies on me such as Animal Farm for instance. I hated that book one page in and yet my sponsor, school, was forcing me to read it. Malcolm X describes his literacy sponsors so it helps the theme of the article to put the excerpt from Malcolm X. I think his sponsors helped him read because they inspired him to learn and to become more complex in reading and writing. I dont know if I have any ways that have helped me become a better reader....
