Unformatted text preview: Business Processes Modelling of Dynamic Alliance Manufacturing Resources Management Based on ASP Model Guofu Luo, Hao Li, Juli Li Dept. of Mech. and Electr. Eng., Zhengzhou Univ. of Light Industry Zhengzhou, Zhengzhou P.R. China luoguofu@zzuli.edu.cn Abstract The business processes and its system characteristics of dynamic alliance based on Application Service Provider (ASP) were analyzed. The key business processes models of Dynamic Alliance Manufacturing Rresources Management (DAMRM) based on ASP were put forward, that is, the dynamic alliance building processes and the schedule progress planning processes. Therefore business models of them were set up by adopting the Unified Modelling Language (UML), a commercial system was developed with business models. Keywords: application service provider, unified modelling language, dynamic alliance, manufacturing resources management, business processes modelling 1. Introduction With the development of network economy, the competition of manufacturing industry is no longer the competition between two enterprises, but the competition of the business enterprise resources advantage and supply chain. Dynamics and agility become the developing directions of enterprises cooperation and the product manufacturing mode, thus dynamic alliance of manufacturing resources is formed, which makes the share and use of manufacturing resources in larger scale [1]. The dynamic alliance is proposed by one or more enterprises and set up by certain technique and management means for specific targets, which can integrate core ability and resources of each alliance enterprise together and form a temporary organization to carry out agile manufacturing. The members of the dynamic alliance should undertake risks and share benefits together, after the project is completed, each member's benefits is obtained and the dynamic alliance is dismissed immediately. The ASP model appeared in 1998, and it is a management model which provides software and hardware service through Internet for customers. With the emergence and application of ASP model, the DAMRM is made easier, faster and more efficient. Currently, some problems still exist in the research and application of dynamic alliance based on ASP mode: (1) the studies on ASP are still immature and needs further improvement; (2) the characteristics of manufacturing resources include regional distribution, heterogeneity and uncertainty, which make the research on modelling of manufacturing resources management much more difficult; (3) the researches on DAMRM based on ASP still mainly aim at the concept, description and frame, but little focus on its business performance and management. The modelling of business processes is the foundation and the premise of the DAMRM based on ASP. Therefore, the business processes modelling of DAMRM based on ASP is a problem which needs to be solved urgently [2]....
