In what situation do free throw takes place or given? Cite relevant examples.
Indeed, basketball is a physical type of game. That means more and more
possibilities of fouls can be called and on the other way it can be a strategy to produced
points through free throws. Free throw is a one point worth shot that is awarded to a
team according to some formats involving the number of fouls committed in a half or the
type of foul being carried out that is why it is so-called “foul shots”. Specifically, it is an
unopposed attempt to score points by shooting from behind the free throw line. There
are a lot of situations where free throw takes place or being given. The most common
situation is
when a player is fouled while in the act of shooting. For example,
if the player misses the shot during the foul, the player receives either two or three free
throws depending on whether the shot was taken in front of or behind the three-point
line. However, if the
player still makes the attempted shot, the number of free throws is
reduced to one, and the basket counts. But, in instances like a player is injured upon
being fouled and cannot shoot free throws, the offensive team may designate any
