This article explains the different stereotypes of Japanese people. It talks about how these stereotypes come about by misconceptions by different groups. The article even mentions that most stereotypes are formed from ignorance of others. Derby continues to write, “Perhaps this is another stereotype Americans have which is not altogether true”. Orlo L. Derby is a Professor of Education at The State Teachers College in Brockport, New York. He has written many books about teaching techniques that are used around the United States.
