(Revised January 2011) Page 2 of 4 Revised 1/27/2011 RULES FOR THE LAB EXERCISES 1. Follow all lab safety rules and applicable laws including: Nobody wearing OPEN TOED SHOES (including sandals) will be allowed in the lab Nobody wearing SHORTS or SHORT SKIRTS (knees must be covered when sitting) will be allowed in the lab Nobody wearing overly loose clothing will be allowed in the lab Anyone with long hair must tie it back or tie it up There is to be NO FOOD/DRINK/CHEWING GUM in the lab Students violating any of these rules will not be allowed to enter/take the lab and will receive a ‘0’ grade for that lab. THESE SAFETY RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED . 2. Class attendance is mandatory. There will be a sign in sheet. 3. Lab make-ups will be arranged only when sufficient documentation is submitted (doctor s note [on letterhead], hospitalization, etc.). 4. Copying lab reports is strictly prohibited. You will be working in groups but your lab report must be your own . Any duplicated lab reports will receive a failing grade for all students involved.
