Nakul Shah Globalization & Social Movements October 10, 2010 The organization and development of civil societies centered on a common cause is not a new concept to the world. What has changed in our new age of technology is the means by which organization is occurring, as well as who is getting involved. The complex network of people brought together by globalization is catalyzing an entirely new movement of transnational civil societies to spring up across the world. With the technology brought about by a computer in every household and internet access throughout the globe, people are bringing their movements overseas and communicating like never before. Organization is no longer constrained to your own borders, and nearly anyone can get involved in movements occurring halfway across the world. This new system of civil organization brings people of different backgrounds, but with similar causes and ideologies, together through the use of technology.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
