Every experience is an opportunity to gain knowledge and further develop your mind. Students spend a significant portion of their lives in school, yet many do not understand why they are there. Passing tests and moving onto the next grade may come easily to some, but gaining an understanding of why you are learning takes insight and is the only test of whether school has been effective. Leonardo da Vinci understood knowledge as the ability to connect varying aspects of learning together, and have what he described as,” a complete mind.” The ability to bring ideas from varying fields into collaborative concepts in your mind is the only test of knowledge and the effectiveness of schooling, making each class connect to others, rather than being unrelated ideas. Many careers put da Vinci’s words to practice, as they bring aspects of varying fields together to complete a task. An architect, for example, has the job of bringing his artistic mind to life by working with an extensive knowledge of both math and physics. When elected, President
