Unformatted text preview: Nakul Shah AP Writing I walked into the giant dome indoor track knowing that today was not going to be like any other day. I trained hard for this race, and the entire season came down to what happened in the few minutes I was on the track. Coach Hogan gave me a firm pat on the shoulder, reassuring me that today was my day, and continuing to talk about meet records and qualifying times. His words became a blur as I focused all of my attention on my race and what I had to do to make it the race of my running career. They called it the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association North 2 Group 1 Sectionals, or as I liked to look at it, the make or break race of the season. I knew that my running career would be coming to a close soon as I was nearing the end of my senior year, so I had to make this day count. I went about my normal routine for race day preparations.
