Akash Dalsania Reaves 10 November 2010 Teamwork Teamwork makes business stronger as it does sports teams. Many business men and women today often say that they had athletic ambitions and that drive of working with a team led them to be successful business men/women. Like business men, athletes are focused, ambitious, and have many of the same characteristics. Mark de Rond, the author of the article states that both sports teams and business teams work in similar ways but concludes that the best individuals do not necessarily make the best teams. Sports like tennis often have singles ladders to find the best singles players and doubles ladders, which are separate from the singles ladders, to determine the best doubles teams. The two ladders are not put together because the best singles do not necessarily form the best

The players perfectionism, intelligence, and thoughts can interfere with his/her partners if that player were to play a doubles game. Businesses work the same way, one successful person’s ego and strengths might not be the right characteristics for teamwork.
