DANCE SCENE ANALYSIS (Group Mini-Project) 5 points Time :  20 minutes (minimum) Due:  See Course Outline for your groups’ respective presentation date ***Note:  The dance scene your group chooses must be shown in class at the time of  presentation. *** Guidelines: Social/Political/Economic/Cultural Context: When and where does the film take place in conjunction with the time period that the film was  made?  Include social, political, economic, cultural and dance elements of that time period as  they relate to the scene/film. Structure of Dance Scene: Note opening and closing images.  What type of dance is scene?  Note the quality of the  movement and how this movement is carried out.  Relationship of dancers/characters in the  scene.  What do the production elements (music, lighting, scenic elements, any other features)  mean and why are they important to the scene. Scene’s Relationship to the rest of the film:
