LAB 1, STEP 2b Calculate Sales per Item A. Click in Cell N5 to enter the formula. B. Type an equal sign (=) to indicate to Excel that the cell will contain a calculated value. C. Total sales per item is the sum of all daily sales for this period. Use the Excel SUM function to provide a total for a range of cells. Type SUM and a beginning parentheses into cell N5. D. Click on cell D5 and drag the cursor to select all cells from D5 through M5: Release the cursor and hit the tab button. The calculation will appear. Validate that this is correct by manually adding all of the cells for this item. Click on cell N5 and the formula: =SUM(D5:M5) will display.
