For information about the theme, please see attachment. PERFORMANCE  OBJECTIVES: In order to achieve the goals of this class you will  demonstrate: 1.- An understanding of how marketing strategies and  tactics change for different countries 2.- Knowledge of the effect of cultures on marketing  strategies. 3.- Effective written and oral communication skills that  are crucial to implement trade in the US and abroad. 4.- Ability to apply concepts learned in class with the  real world. 5.- Ability to engage in constructive criticism and  collaborative decisions making within a group. 6.- Critical thinking and problem solving abilities. WRITTEN AND ORAL  COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This class requires several short homework  assignments which will be discussed in class and  posted on Blackboard.  1

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: Unless I inform you otherwise, you will be held  responsible for reading the material in the text, plus  class lectures.  During the class period, I do not have  the time to discuss all text material, but I will clarify or  emphasize important concepts and elaborate on new  points that are relevant to the chapter. BLACKBOARD USE: Power points, announcements, and assignments will be  posted on Blackboard.  It is your responsibility to check  Blackboard regularly.   ABSENCE POLICY: I consider class attendance important. It is your  responsibility to attend class at all times. If you miss a  class, you will still be held responsible for class lectures  and outside class assignments, so find yourself a  "friend" who will bring you up-to-date in the event you  are absent.  You should be on time for all       classes.     WITHDRAWL POLICY: WITHDRAWAL POLICY :    A student may withdraw  from a course and receive a grade of W when the  completed   “ Registration   and   Drop-Add   Form”   is  presented to the Registrar by the end of the ninth  week.   (After the first week of the current semester,  students may not use the online system to withdraw).  Students who do not withdraw before the deadline  must accept a grade other than W depending on the  instructor’s   judgment   of   their   performance   in   the
