Global Auto is a leading supplier in the automotive industry, which manufactures and sells wiring harnesses and other electrical distribution systems. Due to some severe complications with Global Auto’s legacy system, the company was forced to adjust. Therefore, Global Auto decided to move to a new integrated information system that would overcome the limitations of the existing legact syste. They decided to implement an ERP system. 2. What is an ERP System? What are the major characteristics of an ERP system? What are the benefits associated with an ERP system? a. An ERP, enterprise resource planning, is a comprehensive software application that integreates key business processes functions across departmental boundaries.
