____________ Holly Zakos CISC 101 - VA 15 October 2009 Extra Credit – Class Three Technology in Action Chapter 2: Looking at Computers: Understanding the Parts 1. Keyboard of the Future – I think voice recognition software will become much more accurate over the next few years. Once this happens I believe keyboards will become obsolete. Most people can speak a lot faster than they can type. It’ll be especially helpful when composing papers and speeches because the flow will be much more natural. Then in the future we’ll probably all have electrodes attached to our heads so we can control our computers directly with our minds. 2. Mouse of the Future – I believe that all computers will be touch screen so you won’t need a mouse, just tap whatever you want to open instead of point and clicking. The only thing I can foresee there being any need for a device like a mouse would be for computer games, and those will have specially designed controllers that are incredibly responsive and sensitive to the slightest movement. 3. Storage Devices of the Future – Memory capacity will continue to get larger and larger while the chips get smaller and smaller. This means that
