There are three types of business organizations: the proprietorship, the partnership, and the corporation. Each have both advantages and disadvantages when it comes starting and running a business. A sole proprietorship is owned by one individual. Its advantages include easy and inexpensive formation, subject to few government regulations, and income is not subject to corporate taxation. The disadvantages are that the individual's personal income is taxed, it is difficult to acquire funding or capital, and the individual is personally liable for any debts incurred. A partnership is when two or more individuals operate a business for profit. Agreements or contracts can be entered into to help minimize risk and define how profits and losses will be shared. The partnership will see the same kind of advantages
