Self-Monitoring I would probably make a good actor. I only argue for ideas which I already believe. I guess I put on a show to impress or entertain people. In groups of people, I am rarely the center of attention. I’m not always the person I appear to be. I am not particularly good at making other people like me.

Additional difficulty with comparison: People sometimes choose the situations they are in (so personality plays a role in situations) Situations sometimes choose the people who get into them (so situations play a role in persons) So the two are always interacting. But: Another thought exercise Try to think of situations where virtually everyone acts the same, meaning that the situation is much more important than personality. But: Another thought exercise Now try to think of people who act virtually the same in every situation, Meaning that their personality is much more important than the situation.
