According to our textbook effective control systems have three main characteristics: “It is flexible to allow managers to respond as necessary to unexpected events; it provides accurate information and gives managers a true picture of organizational performance; it provides managers with information in a timely manner. These characteristics create the framework for measuring standards. I currently work at the Marriott hotel, I have been there for three years and I have personally experienced quite a few changes. One change in particular would be how we receive customer feedback. Gone are the days when guest would leave comment cards on the service they received while staying at the hotel. We have said hello to the new age of technology and now rely on surveys that are sent electronically via email to random guest who most likely would not comment on the service. Every Friday at the hotel, we check on the company’s website to see where we are ranked among the other 364 hotels in our brand. These rankings are based upon guest responding to our surveys about the service we provide. This survey targets each
