Some people were highlighted more than others and our used as constant examples to learn from and sometimes exemplify. One particular woman is Ruth. This powerful woman has an entire book of the Holy Bible dedicated to her. It consists of four chapters and eighty five verses. There is only two books in the Bible actually title after women only. The other was Ester, another great woman of her time who should be a role model to each of us. Like Ester, Ruth is also a notable woman. Jewish and Christian culture have valued and respected her in their culture. The leading characters in this book focus on Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz. The story is based on the death of three men and then the eventual birth of a baby. The first chapter discusses the death of Naomi’s husband Elimelech. Ruth and Orpah married Naomi’s two sons.
