Unformatted text preview: Having some experience in a classroom with both a teacher and a student teacher has also helped me come to the conclusion that teaching is a profession. The student teacher is working first hand with the students and a certified teacher to gain much needed classroom experience. The student teacher does the same work as a certified teacher. The teacher is providing a service by teaching those children in a professional manner much like the services of lawyers and doctors. Also as a teacher, I have learned that teaching requires a lot of hard work, education, and experience which are many of the qualities that comprise a profession. So I have come to the conclusion that teaching although an overlooked profession is a profession nonetheless....
