Meserat Zemui April 11, 2010 AESC 4920 Journal 10 My teacher’s teaching style is one that involves group work. She breaks up the students into about three groups and then two other adults work with the students on hands on activities. I feel like this is a strong point in her teaching because it creates a lower student to teacher ratio. A weakness for my teacher is dealing with students who disrupt classroom activities. She sometimes deals with disruptive students by repeatedly telling them to be quiet but when it does not work she does not punish the student. This furthers disruptive classroom behavior with no punishment. I do not think my teacher is aware of this going on in the classroom. Although I feel

Unformatted text preview: that overall my teacher makes strides to improve her teaching. I believe my teacher sees her teaching style in the same manner I do. My strengths are that I have the opportunity to do hands on teaching activities with the children. They love the activities and learn a lot from doing them. I think my weakness would be teaching the entire classroom of about thirty students at the same time. It increases the student to teacher ratio. This weakness is one that I dont have much control over since I am the only one in control of teaching the students science at that time....
