This mission statement is the following. “The mission of Army Aviation is to find, fix, and destroy the enemy through fire and maneuver; and to provide combat, combat support and combat service support in coordinated operations as an integral member of the combined arms team” The division in essence was created to support the ground troops by finding out all the information possible on the enemy, in order to make sure minimal damage is done to the front lines. Today the Aviation Division is used for reconnaissance to give positions for possible artillery, give overhead pictures for moving troops, as well as general movement of troops....
